CERTIFICATE TRAINING PROGRAM IN AFTERCARE (CTPA)
Adults who work with children are crucial in the fight to end trafficking. Love146 conducts trainings for professionals, such as teachers, law enforcement officers, and social workers, giving them tools to prevent the trafficking of children, as well as identify and support victims. Love146 also trains aftercare workers from safe homes, equipping them with knowledge and best practices to reach and restore the children in their care.
The Love146 Certificate Training Program in Aftercare (CTPA) seeks to empower caregivers with the knowledge and skills that will enable them to provide children with specialized care. The program provides a certified qualification through an on-site training course and post-course evaluation.
We have conducted the CTPA in a number of countries in Asia over the past six years and the trainees have expressed that they've gained both knowledge and skills that considerably enhanced how they go about their work, as well as in terms of being able to have new positive impact on the lives of children that they serve.
Training topics within the Love146 CTPA Program include:
-Effects of trafficking on children
-Physical intervention (primarily health care issues)
-Development of communication techniques with children
-Planning interventions – psychological, educational, spiritual
Participants in the Love146 CTPA must be recommended by their respective organization and they must have finished at least secondary school. A training program certificate is given upon completion of the course and satisfactory evaluation six months following the course.
