It’s impossible to not think of Santa this time of year. My son and I watched Elf the other day when he was sick and he has been asking me to sing, “Santa Clause is Coming to Town.” I thought after close to 30 years of Santa I knew everything there was to know about the jolly man form the North Pole that flies on a sleigh with reindeer and presents for all the children in the world. Because most of our days at Love146 are filled with dealing with some of the darkest stories imaginable, our hearts have learned to break and grieve. But for this very same reason, we have also learned to be deliberate in celebrating hope and embracing joy. It’s what keeps us sane. It’s what keeps us alive.

Love146 is exceptionally proud to introduce our new website to the world. We wanted to create a site that really demonstrated who we are and what we believe, and we think we have achieved that. We wanted a site that focuses on hope and restoration. We are by no means naive of the darkness of child sex slavery and exploitation, but we do not exist because of the darkness. We exist because of the hope on the other side of darkness. We exist because of a love story that has captured all of our hearts. A story of broken children becoming whole. A story of thousands rising up and shouting "No, we will not be satisfied until we see this end".
In the past week I have visited two projects that are directly tackling demand. The first is in Bangkok where a team are out on the streets in the red light districts developing relationships with male sex tourists in the red light districts and the second is working with pimps in a gym in an area in Phnom Penh that is notorious for the foreign pedophiles who come to have sex with young children.
