Scrambling for words Posted by Rob Morris

Have you ever had one of those moments when you wanted to say thank you, but the words just seemed so lame in expressing the gratitude you felt? This is one of those times. I’m scrambling for the right words here.

When I look back over this past year, I am undone at what we have accomplished together. Your commitment and support of not only our work, but to the work of ending child sex slavery and exploitation inspires us. Your sacrificial giving and passionate action humbles us.

A while back, I asked some of the girls in our safehome in the Philippines what they wanted to be some day. Their replies were;

“I want to be an architect.”

“I want to be a Doctor.”

“I want to be a teacher.”

“I want to be a Social Worker.”

It wasn’t too long ago that the aspirations of these same children sounded more like;

 “I want to die.”

 “I want to stop hurting.”

 “I want to disappear.”

 “I want my mother.”

The futures of these children have been radically changed because of your engagement with our work.

Your extravagant support, even in the midst of the current economic climate, not only inspires and humbles us, but literally changes the future for our kids. Your generosity continues to help protect and defend the vulnerable, and to provide an environment for children to not only dream again, but to recover their destiny.

Henry James wrote; “To believe in a child is to believe in the future. Through their aspirations they will save the world. With their combined knowledge the turbulent seas of hate and injustice will be calmed. They will champion the causes of life's underdogs, forging a society without class discrimination. They will supply humanity with music and beauty as it has never known. They will endure. Towards these ends I pledge my life's work.”

So…for lack of better words…Thank you. Thank you for believing in children. Thank you for believing in us. Thank you for believing that we can change the world…together.

From all of us at Love146…Happy New Year!

No... Thank YOU. Seriously.

No... Thank YOU. Seriously. You guys are the hands and feet of Jesus, of His Church. I am so thankful for the work that you do, and can't wait until one day I can help in a more tangible way. I'd love to be a fingernail on the hands of Jesus!

I think this cause is

I think this cause is amazing, all of the support you've gotten in the last few years has really inspired me. I hope you will you make a Canadian page soon[being from Canada, I would think that. better yet, one for every country, but even if there isn't one, or ever will be, i still love and support this organization

Christ Incarnate

Hi Rob, I was at Living Stones Church in Red Deer, AB, Canada yesterday morning and heard the message from the Lord, through his loving and passionate child...you. Yes, words are impossible to describe the emotions that ran through me. I am a survivor (now thriver, Praise God!) from sexual abuse and got taken to a deeper level of compassion...we ARE the hands and feet of Christ and we definitely need to be available, not just to pray but to BE the answer to our own prayers. God help anyone that tried to do this to my granddaughters. These children ARE our own. I am a front liner for God and want to help. Please guide me to where I can. I'm the gray-haired lady who hugged you just after you finished preaching. May God continue to bless your ministry! Love In Christ, Sunny xo

Thank You!

We should thank you as well and your group for your own ways in helping the kids. The national hero of the Philippines stated that "The youth are the hope of the Fatherland." We cannot deny the fact that many kids today are taking the wrong path. Thanks to your group for helping the kids. They are not nobody's kids. They are OUR kids, our children, so together, let us help them.

This is a great job well done

This is a great job well done by you guys. It kind of resonated with me aswell. Especially when you detailed how the outlook of children had changed. That is indeed a major change in their aspirations. I too sponsor a child in South Asia, and it resonated with me how their aspirations change. All the best, John M

VERY NICE JOB FOR
