From Survivors to Thrivers: Love146 Safehome Update
Our Round Home in the Philippines continues to celebrate successful reintegration of rescued girls. Currently, 2 of our reintegrated girls have received small grants to start small businesses in their villages. The girls have already been making small profits by selling fresh vegetables, cooked food, mobile phone cards, and handmade greeting cards.

Round Home has also recently welcomed three new rescued girls, all whom have recently given birth to babies. There is much excitement in the home, as all the girls and staff are helping to care for the little ones.

In addition, 7 of the 10 girls living in the home asked if they could get baptized, and they have recently gotten baptized at a local church.

Please pray:
- +that the reintegrated girls would grow in confidence as they develop healthy and sustained relationships with people in the community
- +that their foodcarts would would draw customers, and their business would thrive!
- +that the reintegrated girls would continue to develop their independent living skills,, especially with using their free time in a positive way
- +for the new mothers living in the Round Home, that they would be filled with patience, love, and kindness for themselves and their children
- +for the newly baptized girls, that their relationships with God would deepen and become a deeper well from which to draw strength, encouragement, and love
Chains Be Broken: Safe Harbor Law Passed!
We are so pleased to share that our prayers were answered with Connecticut being the third state in the country to pass a Safe Harbor law! As a result, children under 16 cannot be charged with the crime of prostitution and 16-17 year-olds will be presumed to be victims of sex trafficking if they are found to be prostituting. This is a significant victory as now children will not be held responsible for their own victimization.

Please pray:
- +that the CT police chiefs would respond positively to the new law and make a priority of training the law enforcement in their regions to enforce Safe Harbor
- +for the staff managing the Department of Children and Families hotline, that they would be able to ask the right questions to identify a potential victim of trafficking
- +for Love146's role in helping to create educational materials to raise awareness in CT about our new law
