Katelynne

My name is Kate. Almost 10 months, I decided I wanted my senior marketing project through the program,DECA at my school to be about Love146 and it's message. With the help of two of  partners, Ally, and Jerry and the encouragement of my marketing adviser Dave, we started on a journey to create public awareness in our community for Love146. We called the project , Project146. We organized a campaign, talked to our governor in our state capital and even had him sign a proclamation declaring the week of January 18th-22nd Project146 week in the entire state of Nebraska. We made contacts with missionaries over in Thailand, have raised money, and just been inspired by our journey with Love146. Our week at school was a success, we handed out over  500 information sheets were handed out, told the story of Love146 everyday for five days at lunch, sold 20 bracelets ,and  over 100 backpack tags were sold with Love146 on them, and they are now walking around the hallways of our high school. On peoples key chains, purses, agendas, and backpacks. You now walk through the hallway of our little high school and see the words " Empower", " Restore", " Protect", " Defend" in bright colors   Bellevue West Senior High school, and our DECA program have embraced Love146 and it's story. From here, we submit a 30 page proposal on doing a public relations promotion of Love146 to our Nebraska DECA program, and will be speaking in March at our state conference discussing Love146 and it's story to even more people. We are honored to be able to be a part of the abolition, and to increase awareness of this issue. This picture was of our self made banner that hung in the common area of our school for eight days, including the days of our week. Peace& Abolition from Bellevue, Nebraska.
