Brea is a 2023 distinguished graduate of the Master of Nonprofit Leadership and Management program at Arizona State University and a member of the Nu Lambda Mu Nonprofit Honor Society, Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society, and Golden Key International Honor Society. She also has a BBA in Accounting and an MBA with a focus in Human Resources Management, both from Texas A&M University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in both programs. She is currently qualified and actively studying for the CPA exam, which he hopes to finish within the next year.
With over 20 years of experience, Brea’s diverse background includes managing day to day and strategically focused functions – including Executive Leadership, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Payroll, Administration, Operations, Facilities, Grant Management, Contracts, and Revenue Cycle, primarily in the nonprofit sector. She has dedicated her career to helping nonprofits whose missions are to end hunger and homelessness, provide equitable opportunities, end exploitation of the vulnerable, and those addressing mental health–particularly as it relates to youth and veterans. Her senior leadership opportunities have included employment with several international nonprofits, including Covenant House International as Controller and Make a Wish America, as Senior Manager of Accounting Services. Prior to joining Love146 she served as the Chief Finance and Administrative Officer at Treatment Assessment Screening Center, an Arizona nonprofit dedicated to alcohol and substance abuse prevention and counseling for the past 7 years. Some of her previous volunteer work includes being active with New York Cares, Susan G Komen, and Tough Mudder for several years. She is currently an active Wish Grantor at Make a Wish Arizona, serves as Treasurer of the Board of Directors for Repatriate Our Patriots, and serves on the Board of Directors for National Amateur Fall Baseball Federation.
Brea is a lifelong sports enthusiast as both a fan and participant, particularly baseball. The love of the game came about very early in her childhood, having been introduced to baseball by her father almost as soon as she could throw a ball. She played softball all through elementary and High School and continued to participate in intramural softball in college. In her free time, she also enjoys reading, hiking, bike riding, swimming, and traveling –primarily to explore national parks and attend sporting events.
