Trafficking Does Happen Here

New York Public Radio’s Susan Arbetter of WCNY’s “The Capitol Pressroom” interviewed our U.S. Survivor Care Program Director Erin Williamson on how trafficking and exploitation happens in the United States. A lot people when they first hear about trafficking think that it happens overseas, or that when it happens here it is with foreign nationals. We do see that here, says Williamson, but we also see U.S. citizens, both boys and girls. Ultimately, what is happening is that adults are paying money to have sex with children.
