Valentine’s Day is coming up, and a lot of folks are thinking about love. It’s an age-old question: what is love?
Here at Love146, we see love in action every day.
It’s walking alongside a young person as they heal from trafficking. It’s listening, showing up, and making sure they’re not alone in really tough moments.
Sometimes love is just something you feel, like a warm cup of cocoa with your Love146 social worker when you feel cold—when others have blamed you for what was never your fault.

Love is helping a kid dream about the future—and advocating for them until they have the support they need to get there.
It’s working alongside parents who are doing their best to care for a child who has been hurt.
Love looks like a young survivor introducing us to their friend who needs help.
Love looks like holding the right people accountable for making sure kids are safe.
And of course, love is staying—because healing doesn’t happen overnight. It’s telling a child that they won’t age out from Love146 when they turn 18. We’ll be here for as long as they need us because sometimes love is choosing not to give up on someone.
Love is supporters like you choosing to care for kids you’ll probably may never meet—giving hard-earned money, time, and energy because you believe that no child should be trafficked.
Right now, we have a big goal: we have to raise $93,000 this month to fund our survivor care work. And today, every dollar you give will be doubled thanks to a group of matching donors.
Give today for double the impact.
So perhaps love = showing up.
Perhaps love = never giving up.
Perhaps love = you.
In the coming weeks, we’ll share more on what it means to show up for
kids, but in the meantime, we invite you to reflect on this question: what
are some ways you can show love today?
