One of the most beautiful milestones we have the privilege to celebrate with the girls who come through the Round Home is them finding love in a partner. In a recent update Dr. Velazco highlights these moments:
Realyn has an artistic talent for designing Jewelry and her husband is incredibly supportive.
“Realyn and her husband enjoy designing bead projects and ‘thank you’ cards. He is a devoted husband who keeps in touch with us. Realyn also feels lucky to have a loving mother-in-law who treats her as her own daughter.”
Sharon and her husband also enjoy making bead jewelry and thank you cards.
“We are getting them to her province first week of May, to live by the river. We are giving them a small capital to start a livelihood in fishing and selling the fish. He loves her to bits and we are confident that their partnership would last.”
Robin and her boyfriend also greatly enjoy the bead work.
“We are getting them to his province to start a small store. They are getting married in October, when she turns 18. He said that he has found in Robin all the qualities he is looking for in a girl.”
Heather and her boyfriend are very happy. “He professes his undying love for her. He promises to always be good to her.”
“He earns his livelihood as a vendor…of balut. We added to his baluts to augment his capital. Heather and her boyfriend will be married on June 8th, 2010.”
