One could assume that a safehouse is where the children are kept safe and away from the elements and forces of abuse and exploitation. This is true.
On the other hand, we also have in our hands clay waiting to be molded.
We have a flower needing to be nourished so it can grow into what it can become.
We also have different kinds of wounds to heal, which challenge us to see what their healing would uncover.
Thus each day is packed with making haste and making up for lost time. Each day is replete with activities that nourish, nurse, heal, restore, discover, affirm, encourage, enhance, liberate, and train, all beyond hiding and keeping safe.
