This is both a challenging and exciting time for the Love146 UK team. More children than ever need the support we offer, and we have just taken steps towards serving more young people with the addition of several new team members. Growing our capacity is one of the practical ways that we offer young people the very best that we can.
Social worker Tamara Curtis has recently joined the Love146 team, bringing years of experience working with refugees.
From the start Tamara has approached every young person with respect, sensitivity, and a big smile. She has been an anchor; her steady presence literally keeping young people from running away from care. It’s easy to be jaded in this line of work, but Tamara combines a steely resolve with a heart that still invests in each case.
Hannah Connor has joined the Love146 team for a second time — after helping us get our Houston, Texas office up and running back in 2013. She moved to London last year and now heads up marketing, communications, and admin.
Andrew Zsigmond has recently returned to the UK as Director of Development after over a decade working for Love146 abroad. Andrew has served in many roles at Love146, most recently building relationships with donors and supporters. He’s now looking forward to growing the work of Love146 at home in the UK.
We are running on all cylinders to reach trafficked young people. Trained, highly qualified practitioners working with children on the front lines is the core of Love146 UK — a foundation that we build on. But we don’t diminish any contribution by recognising the value of employing a practitioner. Tamara, Hannah, Andrew — all bring unique skillsets to the table. Everyone has a place in this fight, and it will take everyone, leveraging their passions and skills to end child trafficking and exploitation. What assets do you bring to the table? Let us know. We need you beside us!
