Baume & Mercier, the luxury Swiss watchmaker, hosted a private event at the Tourneau TimeMachine in New York City on the evening of December 1, 2011 that benefitted Love146.
While attendees enjoyed the event watches from famous brands including Baume & Mercier, Rolex, Patek Philippe and Cartier surrounded them. Baume & Mercier also auctioned off watches with commemorative Love146 engravings to benefit Love146.
The event gave guests the opportunity to view a photo essay by Pulitzer Prize winning photojournalist Carolyn Cole, who was commissioned by Baume & Mercier to illustrate the mission of Love146 in Southeast Asia. Guests were accompanied by Emmanuelle Chriqui, star of Entrourage and enjoyed musical performances from Love146 co-founder Lamont Hiebert, Abigail Zsiga and the Broadway Dolls. Baume & Mercier CEO Alain Zimmerman and Tourneau CEO Jim Seuss presented a check for $25,000 to Love146.
“For Baume et Mercier, life is about moments and we’re honored to support Love146’s mission to restore hope to those in a time of need,” said Rudy Chavez, Baume & Mercier North American President. “As Chairman of the Board of Love146, I look forward to continuing to shed light on this worthwhile cause.”
