This is 8-year-old Jelena – a survivor of child trafficking in our care in in the Philippines.
Jelena was trafficked from a young age and was brought to Love146 to recover. She recently shared,
“People shouldn’t talk to foreigners that they do not know well. I wish I had known what I was doing. I wish someone would tell children to be careful. I am glad now because I am taken care of by Love146. They look after me like I am their daughter.”
When Jelena first came to our care, she wouldn’t discuss what happened to her, but little by little, she has begun to open up and process. Jelena enjoys caring for the animals on the Love146 farm, going to school, and she recently won first place in the rope jumping contest.
Monthly donors allow us to show up for children day after day – and the more monthly donors we have, the more children we can reach. Jelena is one of those children for whom it really matters. Looking at how many monthly donors we have, and how many survivors of child trafficking have been able to receive our services, the correlation is remarkable…
The data is clear: As a monthly donor your gifts, large and small, bring healing and hope to more children.
This October, we’re asking 146 supporters to become monthly partners. Will you sign up today?
