Love146 partner organization debuted the third film in their educational series yesterday at the RCBC Plaza in Makati, Philippines.
The film, follows the journey of a 12-year-old and 8-year-old from their home in an rural province to a seedy brothel in the city.
Thinking that the children would be employed as household help, their mother, desperate to pay for her infant’s medical bills, is forced to sell her daughters to a foreigner. The foreigner then forces the girls to strip in front of webcams for paying “customers” or have sex with strange men. The story is inspired by the children that the organization works with and children forced into exploitation all over the world.
The film is one part of an Animation Toolkit that includes two other films, story books, and training manuals. The toolkit will be distributed in order to educate children about the risks of trafficking and exploitation.
