The Round Home continues to be a holistic environment where every aspect of the girls lives is considered precious and therefore tailored to their restoration. We received an recent update from Dr. Velazco that the staff and the girls have grown a thriving vegetable garden. The garden provides the opportunity for girls to participate in agriculture should they show interest, as well as home grown, organic vegetables for the Round Home. Currently the Round Home receives all it’s leafy greens and string beans from the garden, saving the Home quite a bit of money at the market.
The staff are working to become sustainable in bananas, papayas and tomatoes.
