When I was in elementary school, Valentine’s Day was a big event. You got to make a valentine for everyone in your class, maybe adding some dabs of glitter to the cards going to your best friends and crushes. It’s a cherished childhood memory for me.
This year, Love146 is giving supporters the opportunity to send a valentine to the children in our Round Home. It’s a chance to get your craft on and create a note of encouragement and hope for a survivor. To celebrate childhood and to celebrate love.
I’ve had the privilege of receiving these Valentines in our office before we send them on to the safe home. This has been the highlight of my days this week- I have been so inspired and encouraged by them. Which makes it exciting to send them off overseas; to inspire and encourage the girls in the Round Home. Here are some of my favorites…
The valentines above and dozens more made touchdown in the Philippines this morning and are on their way to the girls in the Love146 Round Home.
Thank you so much to everyone who has made a Valentine for a survivor so far. They’re beautiful. I’m looking forward to the coming weeks as these messages of love and encouragement keep arriving.
peace & love,
