In the past few days, six new girls joined us at the Love146 Round Home. All the girls are between the ages of 7 and 12.
They represent the youngest children we’ve ever cared for at the Round Home.
Mixed emotions describe how we feel…
We are hopeful because these young girls have begun a journey towards recovery and restoration. In our Round Home, they are safe to begin experiencing healing and freedom. It is an encouraging thing to know that six more children are surrounded by a community that is working to protect and love them.
We are grieved as we receive these girls, knowing that at such a young age, they were commodified, sold, and manipulated into commercial sexual exploitation. Their integrity, dignity and sense of self-worth has been damaged.
We are relieved because the Love146 Round Home is truly a safe home. They are safe from pedophiles, gangs, syndicates — those who took advantage of their innocence. In the Round Home they are safe, protected, and free.
We are ready. There is a long road ahead, but we’re thankful that you are journeying with us. Truly, this work caring for survivors would be impossible without your help.
