Last month, I wrote about the youngest survivor of exploitation in our care, who is only 1-year old.
While the horror of this reality can leave you without words, there is another story that can leave you speechless. And that is the story of hope.
After holding this baby in my arms while I was in the Love146 Round Home last month, I handed her back to one of the older girls. I watched as almost immediately the other girls and boys in our care, as well as our staff, surrounded this precious baby. They are fierce in their protection, extravagant in their nurturing, and generous in their empathy. This is her family. And once again I was left without words at the hope that is now being carved out for this little one.
