As you may have heard, the Philippines has been hit hard by Typhoon Glenda – and both our Round Home for girls and White Home for boys have been partially destroyed.
Please read more and help us rebuild…
All of the boys and girls in our direct care, as well as Love146 staff in the Philippines, are all safe. But Typhoon Glenda has wrought havoc in many places.
Our Round Home for girls and White Home for boys are both in need of major repairs, including significant damage sustained to our beloved Therapy Treehouse.
Our Survivor Care programs in the Philippines host many activities for the livelihood of those recovering from trafficking, and it was things like the livestock and gardens that were most impacted.
While our goats survived, most of our chickens and all of our 1,000 quail have died, leaving the girls with no eggs to sell at the local market. This was a huge source of income. Strong winds have also torn up all the banana trees on the property and destroyed our vegetable and mushroom farms.
All in all, the estimated cost to make all the repairs has come in at $10,000*
*Anything raised above $10,000 will go directly towards our Asia Survivor Care efforts.
