This upcoming Friday and Saturday the annual Interdisciplinary Conference on Human Trafficking will be held at The University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Four staff of Love146’s programs team will be attending, and two will be presenting.
Both Dr. Glenn Miles, Director of Asia Prevention, and Dr. Gundelina Velazco, Director of Asia Aftercare, will be presenting on Saturday October 1, 2011.
Dr. Gundelina Velazco is scheduled to share in the session on Theories and Models, discussing the development of an instrument to measure success of reintegration of trafficking survivors; initiating a reintegration program based on the instrument.
Dr. Glenn Miles is scheduled to present twice during the conference. During the session on Reintegration, Glenn will present results from an ongoing longitudinal study on reintegration from Aftercare facilities in Cambodia. Later during the session on Men and Boy, Dr. Miles will present research conducted with Jasmir Thakur, leader of the Boy Reintegration and Research Project, on the topic the sexual exploitation of boys and young men in India and Cambodia.
