Trafficking Prevention Expert Talks About Being A Mom
In a StoryCorps interview, our Director of US Prevention, Aria Flood shared how becoming a mother has affected the way in which she approaches child trafficking prevention work.
“It’s made me slow down. It’s made me. Think a bit more about the ways in which the world is unsafe. There are people behind these stories. These are real people. The issue is people and it’s important we never forget that. And I think when we pause and we sit with that, it centers us a little bit more in the work. And I think that that slowness I now carry is a direct result of him. And that’s something I hope for everybody that they find the thing that centers them and reminds them not just of our humanity, but of other people’s as well.”
